(NECN: Jim Braude) - President Obama is stumbling, and there is a new person to blame.
You remember this guy, David Plouffe, the mastermind of President Obama's 2008 campaign victory.
Well, as you know, he's back after getting a "S.O.S" call from the White House ... "Ship of State sinking fast."
Here's my memo to Plouffe on three things he needs to fix real fast.
First, either cancel your idea of a "spending freeze", or cancel the president's subscription to the New York Times.
Did you read the latest from Paul Krugman?
"A spending freeze that's the brilliant response of the Obama team to their first serious political setback? It's appalling on every level."
Well, at least he didn't shout, you lie!"
Second, the next time you send an economic adviser to talk down to Rachel Maddow, make sure he's --smarter-- than Rachel Maddow... Or else you get this:
Question: Does Bernstein still have his job? Wouldn't he be better suited to something less challenging ... Like chair of the Federal Reserve?
And finally, remember when John Stewart was laughing --with-- you? Did you see last night's Daily Show?
Memo to Plouffe: no more teleprompters in school ... At least until eighth grade and above.
