(NECN: Brian Burnell, Wolcott, Conn.) - Bruce Brown is in security. His company is Northeast Surveillance and Communications, and he spends his days setting up security systems and spare time coaching his two children in sports. Last Tuesday night, though, he spent a little time in Massachusetts with his big brother at a little party celebrating Scott Brown's election to the U.S. Senate. Bruce Brown, Wolcott, Connecticut: It was like being at the Super Bowl. The excitement. The cheering. Fourth down, 1 yard to go to the goal line and, are you going to win? I don't know. And, all of a sudden Coakley made the call and you just went, here it is. We're all done. He talked to his brother several times during the campaign for the Massachusetts Senate seat and says they felt something building as the days went by. Bruce Brown: You talk to everyone back home. You know, "who's Scott Brown?" and then, all of a sudden, "Oh, Scott Brown." And you things popping up here and there about Scott Brown and then you hear about Ayla who is his daughter who was in the 5th season of American Idol. I mean all these different things start coming together and its like, wow, I think there's something going on here that this underdog might have a chance. Bruce is seven years younger than Scott but they could be twins. Both are attractive and athletic and Republican Party insiders here in Connecticut have been calling, inquiring what Bruce might be thinking about his own political potential. Bruce Brown: About, "What's your thoughts? You're the big buzz around here. Come up here and talk to us." And I said I'm still kind of contemplating and thinking. It's a big decision to do something like that. Of course he has the come from behind kid, his big brother, to ask. Bruce Brown: If I could get a hold of him. Bruce is very proud of Scott and says he will ask his advice before making a decision to run for office. Bruce Brown: I never really considered it but Scott definitely inspired, you know, like, wow, you can definitely make a difference even being a person that no one really knows you.
