(NECN/ABC) - Friday's international telethon has raised a reported $57 million to aid the people of Haiti -- and more money is still coming in. But, it will take much more to make a difference to the massive scale of destruction left by the earthquake that killed at least 150,000.
Rescue efforts are shifting to recovery efforts.
The sheer scale of need is overwhelming. As quake victims struggle to
survive, some break into deserted shops crawling inside the rubble to
retrieve precious supplies.
But the will of the Haitian people to survive is undimmed.
The United Nations says that as many as 2 million people are still in need
of aid.
ABC's Aaron Katersky reports.
