(NECN: Stoneham, Mass.) - Mark Kerrigan, the brother of Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, has been charged with assaulting their 70-year-old father, who was found dead over the weekend in the family's Massachusetts home. "We do not know the cause of death. There will be an autopsy," said Chief Richard Bongiorno of Daniel Kerrigan. "We did make an arrest of Mark Kerrigan as the result of a domestic assault and battery," said Bongiorno. "Mr. Kerrigan is being arraigned at the Worburn District Court on assault and battery on an elder person," said Bongiorno. "We in the Stoneham Police Department are familiar with Mr. Kerrigan," said Bongiorno.
